Which scooters can I rent from Vespa rental Noordwijk?
We rent original Italian Vespa scooters. In our range we have Vespas of the type LX, LXV, S, Touring Primavera, Sprint and Elettrica.
We have scooters with 4-stroke petrol engines.
We also have new in the rental the Vespa Primavera Elettrica 100% electric / 100% sustainable.
We have almost all factory colours and types in the rental.
You can choose an available colour and type at our location. Reservation of specific colours and types is possible in consultation.

How and for what are you insured?
Our scooters are insured against third party liability and theft.
The third party liability deductible is 175.00 euros for damage to third parties.
For the theft coverage, you must lock the scooter with the steering and the supplied chain lock. This chain lock must be used by attaching the rear wheel to an inseparable object.
Damage (one-sided) to the vehicle (the rented scooters) itself is at your own risk. You can reduce this risk to a maximum of 200.00 euros by taking out additional coverage of 7.50 euros on location.

How fast do the Vespa scooters go?
Our Vespa scooters have a blue license plate. This means that you are allowed to drive on the cycle paths.
Because you are allowed to drive on the cycle path, the speed of our scooters is limited to a maximum of 34 km per hour. This speed is considered the tolerated speed in the Netherlands for blue license plate scooters.

What is the range of the Vespa scooters?
The range of our 4-stroke Vespa scooters is approximately 150 km with a full tank of euro98.
The range of our Electric Vespa (elettrica) scooters (100% electric) is 83km.

Do you also have nice routes that I can ride with the Vespa scooters?
Definitely, we have a free route map with 7 beautiful tours through the dune and bulb region, to Zandvoort / Bloemendaal and around the Kagerplassen.
All our routes are indicated via the Bicycle junctions.
You can also navigate our routes with our free routeApp "Fietsknoop". You can easily scan the route with your smartphone. We provide a free waterproof smartphone holder for the handlebars of the scooter.

Yes, we have a free route app that you can download on your smartphone. You can then easily scan the route of your choice from our route map and navigate.

Can I ride on the cycle path or do I have to ride on the road with the Vespa scooters?
You can ride on the cycle path with our scooters.
You ride on the cycle path separately from car traffic and can enjoy the surroundings to the fullest.
With our 100% electric Vespa scooters you can also ride on the cycle paths in the dune areas.

Can I ride my Vespa scooter on the cycle paths through the dunes?
You can ride our 100% electric Vespa Elettrica scooters on the cycle paths through the dunes and protected nature reserves.

How old do I have to be to drive a Vespa scooter?
The minimum age for driving a Vespa scooter is 16 years. It is important that you have at least an AM (scooter) driving license.

Do I need a driver's license to rent a scooter?
Yes, you must have a valid driver's license to drive our scooters.
This may be a moped, motorcycle or car driver's license. The minimum age for driving our Vespa scooters is 16 years.
On location, we ask each driver to show the employee their driver's license.
If you are riding on the back as a passenger, you obviously do not need to have a driver's license.

Can someone ride as a passenger and are the Vespa scooters spacious enough for 2 adults?
Yes, that is the beauty of our Vespa scooters. Our scooters are extremely suitable for two people (with passenger) to ride.
Our Primavera and Sprint models Vespa scooters even have an extra spacious seat. Very suitable for 2 adults or if you are slightly taller than average.
For the smallest passengers we have free child seats available.

Can small children (in a child seat) ride on the back?
Yes, we have child seats available for the smallest passengers.
Small children must be able to sit properly on their own, so we recommend a minimum age of 2 years.
Our child seats are CE and TÜV approved and are attached to the buddy seat of the scooter at three points.

Do I have to wear a helmet on the Vespa scooter?
Do I have to wear a helmet on the Vespa scooter?
Yes, it is mandatory to wear a helmet.
It is allowed to wear a lightweight pedelec helmet.
We have the latest stylish helmets from the brand ABUS.

What extras can I add to the rental of a Vespa scooter?
We have various extras that you can add to your Vespa experience.
For example, we offer various beautiful tours and packages. For example, you can expand your Vespa scooter tour with a visit to one of the beautiful flower gardens in the region. You can also combine your day out with a boat trip in Leiden, a delicious High Tea or a Formula 1 sim race at the Zandvoort circuit park.
You can also rent accessories for your Vespa scooter such as a windshield, a child seat, a wicker luggage or picnic basket or a dog basket.
When renting one of our scooters, you will always receive a free route map with beautiful routes, helmets and a smartphone holder.

Can I rebook or cancel in case of bad weather?
If you book with us, you always have the option to move your booking to another date free of charge in case of bad weather on the day of booking. We are happy to do this in consultation with you.
If you select the cancellation insurance for bad weather in our online booking module, you have the right to cancel your booking in full in case of bad weather. We will then refund the prepaid rental amounts to your account within 48 hours.
By bad weather we mean persistent rain or storm. We do not mean a chance of a shower or a chance of a little rain as bad weather. If you are unsure about the weather, please contact us. Of course we always think along with you to give you and your group a wonderful day.
Cancellation or moving of your scooter booking must always be done by telephone and can be done up to the day of booking. We cannot cancel or move an additional booked activity at the last minute. If you have booked a combination package, we would like to keep in touch with you if you are unsure about the weather.

Do I have to pay a deposit and how does that work?
We ask for a deposit of 150 euros per Vespa scooter with a maximum of 500.00 euros per rental agreement. If we can put all scooters on a rental agreement, the deposit is 500.00 euros, you can pay this to us by debit card or cash. If you pay with a debit card, we can also refund the deposit to your card.

What is the easiest way to make a reservation?
The easiest way to make a reservation is via our booking module on our website. You can find this under the booking button. You select the desired date, the number of scooters and the number of people. And you indicate whether you want to book any extras such as a windshield or child seat.
You can also book our combination package online with your scooter reservation.
Our booking module will calculate the different options for you immediately. You can pay online via your own bank environment via I-deal or with your credit card. After booking, you will immediately receive a confirmation of your reservation and useful information to make your Vespa tour a great experience.

Can the Vespa scooters also be delivered on location?
We can also deliver your scooter(s) on location. This is only possible in consultation with us.
Depending on the location and times of delivery and collection, we charge a fee for delivery on location.

Can I drive freely myself or do I ride in a group?
During the rental period you are free to drive wherever you want, of course within the legal frameworks.
You can use one of our beautiful routes on our route map and our free routeApp.
We rent our scooters on an individual basis for you or for your own group. Riding in a group with a guide is possible on request.

Which packages can I book when renting a scooter?
You can book various packages or combination activities with us.
We have combination packages with a High Tea, a picnic, a boat trip/canal cruise in Leiden and Formula 1 sim racing in Zandvoort.
Don't forget our Vespa Flower Tour package, a beautiful tour through the bulb fields with a visit to the Tulip experience Amsterdam and the Tulperij.
If you have a special request or would like to book a company outing with Vespa driving, we can create a fully customized program for you. This can include a customized route, drinks, lunch or dinner.

Can I order a guide to accompany us?
Yes, of course. We can guide you and your group through the region and show you the most beautiful places. Tours along the coast, through the dunes and bulb fields or to Leiden and the Kagerplassen, everything is possible.
In the spring, our guide can tell you about the history of bulb cutting and flower bulb cultivation.
Additional charge for booking a private guide for you or your group is 125.00 euros excluding VAT per 2 hours.
